Traditional Neighborhood Program

Carnegie is part of the Independent School Principals (ISP) program, which is designed for high-performing principals who can ensure continued strong performance with minimal oversight from the district, and who would benefit from additional independence to lead their schools. Therefore our school is not part of a network.

Andrew Carnegie’s neighborhood program serves children who live within our attendance boundaries.  Standards are high in this program, and students are expected to perform to the best of their abilities and beyond. We encourage a school-home partnership with parents and teachers through regular communication via phone, ClassDojo, Remind, and email.  We also encourage attendance and participation in parent/teacher conferences as well as the interactive family events that occur throughout the school year.

Teachers adhere to the Common Core Standards and assessments. The majority of our teachers hold Masters Degrees, and we currently have 6 National Board Certified Teachers.
